Our experienced management team has extensive industry knowledge with an excellent track record of value creation, bringing hundreds of years of cumulative expertise in project management, development, engineering and operations to the table. Howard Sorensen

Chief Executive Officer & Chairman

 

  • Joined Signalta in 1978. Assumed the position of President in early 1985 and Chairman in 1991.

  • Graduated from the University of Alberta in 1970 with a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering.

  • 45+ years of industry experience.

Robert Chad

President & Chief Operating Officer

 

  • President and COO of Signalta since 1992.

  • Prior, Chad held the position of Vice President, Engineering for six years.

  • Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Chemical Engineering from Queen's University in 1982.

  • Received a Masters in the Science of Management (Honours) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1985.

  • Professional engineer registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).

John Stueck

Chief Engineer

Production Operations & Facilities

 

  • Associated with Hudson Bay Oil & Gas for seven years prior to joining Signalta in 1981.

  • Graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering.

  • 45+ years of industry experience.

  • Professional engineer registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).

Hooman Mashayekhi

Senior Power Engineer

 

  • Joined Signalta in 2019.

  • Associated with various manufacturing and industrial concerns over the last 20 years.

  • Graduated from Sharif University in Tehran, Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Australian and Canadian P. Eng.

Colin Thompson

Production & Operations Engineer

 

  • Joined Signalta in 2008.

  • Graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.

  • Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).

  • 15+ years of industry experience.

Alison Weeks

Regulatory Specialist

 

  • Joined Signalta in 2013.

  • 12+ years of industry experience.

  • Associated with various regulatory agencies and associations.

  • Graduated from NAIT in 2010 in Mechanical Engineering Technology, holding professional certifications from ASET, NACE and API.

Juan Pablo Franco Clarke

Analyst

 

  • Joined Signalta in 2021.

  • Received his Bachelor of Science in Public Management and Policy from the University of Arizona.

John K. (Kim) Reid

General Counsel

 

  • Joined Signalta as General Counsel in 2005.

  • From 1992 to 2005, co-founded and was a partner in the law firm of Tingle, Reid and Olson, which provided income tax planning services to high net worth clients.

  • Prior thereto, Reid was a partner in the law firm of Atkinson McMahon with a practice focused on securities and commercial law.
